How to Use the Shape Playdough Mats to help your Preschooler Learn
We used the mats to help my son and daughter learn about and create different shapes. I first showed them how to roll the Playdough into a “snake” form and then showed them how to make the shape.
We then took our toy cars and drove them around the shape and on the Playdough. We poked the Playdough with our finger to make the circle shape.
We talked about each shape and what objects we see in our lives that show us that shape. For example, when we made the circle we talked about cookies and pizza.
