We also love to play with Playdough so I thought about combing two things that we love to play with! I created these hands on learning Dinosaur Playdough Mats for my kids to learn and explore with Playdough while getting to create different dinosaur figures! They were so proud that they could create their favorite dinosaurs made out of Playdough with using these visuals!

Getting Ready to Use the Dinosaur Playdough Mats

Once you get your free download all you will need to do is print out the mat pages. Then you will want to get out some Playdough for your child to make the different shapes.

What you need:

Playdough
laminator (optional)

Optional: We used these dry erase pockets for the first time and I loved them! I didn't have to laminate the playdough mats and it kept them safe and secure with placing the Playdough on top.

How to use the Dinosaur Playdough Mats

We used these mats to help my son and daughter learn and create the dinosaur figures. Then we talked about each dinosaur as we created them. I looked up information about them on my phone such as what they ate, what they looked like and where they lived.

Then we made the shape together on the mat and talked about where we see that shape in real life.

These dinosaur Playdough mats were a great opportunity to learn new language skills and learn about topics they were interested in.
