My name is Sara and I am the one behind Learning for a Purpose!

I have my doctorate in occupational therapy and I have worked as a pediatric occupational therapist, but now I am a stay at home mom to my two wonderful young children.

I am on a journey to becoming a neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapist that believes in using strengths-based teaching resources to help autistic teens and young adults reach their goals.

I decided to become an occupational therapist after my younger brother was diagnosed with autism.

As he entered his teen years and now as a young adult, I realized there are not a lot of resources out there for autistic teenagers and young adults. Especially how to help them learn life skills to help them as they enter the adult world.

My mission is to provide strengths-based neurodiversity-affirming resources and teaching strategies to help autistic teens and young adults learn life skills and help them reach their highest potential and increase their quality of life.
